We’re off to a strong start in 2013 here in the Tri-State area with what promises to be the best year for solar yet. According to the Solar Energy Industry Association solar installations grew 76% in 2012 with higher numbers expected in 2013. The lower cost of solar technology combined with the 30% Federal Tax Credit has made ‘Going Green’ with solar more feasible and lucrative than ever. Iowa customers can create even more savings by taking advantage of our unique State Tax Credit. Then, this is the “Last Year” that Alliant customers in Iowa can take advantage of the Alliant Renewable Energy Rebate. This rebate can cover up to 30% of the project cost and is received less than 90-days after installation. Wisconsin customers have the opportunity to take advantage of the Focus on Energy grant in addition to the tax credit. Illinois also has incentives in the works. So, no matter where you live there are great savings to be taken advantage of.
